Job Description

Help restore Wales' rivers and tackle one of the nation's biggest environmental challenges.

More than 200 abandoned metal mines across Wales continue to release harmful pollutants into the environment, affecting over 700km of rivers. Working with partners including the Mining Remediation Authority, we're developing and delivering solutions to reduce pollution and improve river health.

As a member of our team, you'll provide essential technical and administrative support to this high-profile programme. You'll help develop the evidence base for decision-making, contribute to environmental monitoring and site investigations, and support the delivery of projects that create measurable environmental improvements. It's a unique opportunity to develop your skills while making a lasting impact on Wales' natural environment.

Driving is essential to this role. Work will include field visits to remote sites. You must hold a full and current UK driving license.

As an organisation we support flexible working. You will be contracted to the nearest NRW office to your home and a suitable hybrid working pattern will be agreed on appointment. Any regular face to face meetings or training will be planned in advance.

To make an informal enquiry about this role, please contact Dave Johnston at Dave.Johnston@cyfoethnaturiolcymru.gov.uk

Interviews will be face to face (details of location will be shared in advance)
