Job Description

At OS, our vision is to be recognised as world-leaders in geospatial services; creating location insight for positive impact. We use our valuable data and know-how to help drive the future success of Britain and other nations. We facilitate important decisions that enhance the quality of life for current and future generations.

Join us on the OS Graduate Scheme and you’ll have an opportunity to make an impact. To empower projects that deliver real-world benefits across Britain and internationally. To hear our customers say they couldn’t have done it without us. And to be central to OS’s vision: to be recognised as world leaders in geospatial services; creating location insight for positive impact.

What do we do and why?

Population growth, climate change, and disruptive technology are impacting every nation. Geospatial data is helping to solve the complex problems of a changing world. We’re exploring how business can use location data more intelligently, through analytics, joining multiple data sources, data integration, and sharing platforms or environments. We are working at the heart of making national data connected and valuable, providing the framework for a wide range of public and commercial services and helping the development of a ‘smarter’ more connected world. We’re also leading machine-to-machine use of data at a level of detail never before seen in national mapping agencies.

Working with countries all over the world, our expertise and capability supports the sustainable development and delivery of efficient public services – improving quality of life for millions of people. Our advisory services work with organisations, governments and other geospatial bodies and partners to improve policy making and increase geospatial capabilities demonstrating how Great Britain is using the same approach to geospatial data and standards to save millions of pounds per year; reduce carbon emissions; make the best possible evidence-based decisions; deliver effective public services and plan new developments.
