We have fabulous opportunity for you to join our awesome new team within our all new Hartlepool Move On service. We support our brilliant customers who are over 18 with low to medium support needs and a requirement for safe, quality and affordable housing. They live in our amazing newly refurbished dispersed one and two-bedroom flats located throughout Hartlepool.

We help our customers by focussing on tenancy support. Working alongside our Coordinators, youll support by helping them to manage their tenancy and rent accounts.  Youll also support our customers with their housing benefit claims and making sure that these are received on their rent account. Youll turn around vacant properties so that new customers who need our help can move in quickly.  Youll also make sure our service achieves maximum occupancy, and that we are health and safety compliant!

About our team

Based in our all new Hub, youll be working alongside our fabulous team who are super passionate about supporting customers to reach their goals and celebrating their achievements.  To us were not just a team were a work family. Our manager is Ste who has been with Home Group for 12 years, and who is not only passionate about the amazing work we do but also his beloved Middlesbrough Football Club too! There will be 9 of us in the team once were up and running and we dont just love to support our customers, were there for each other too! Youll be joining our new recruits Debby, Dee and Helen who are all super passionate about really making a difference to those they support.

Working hours

Youll work on a Rota basis between the hours of 9am 7pm and take your turn working days, evenings and weekends (currently Saturdays only). We need you to be flexible to meet the needs of our customers, but we aim to give you the time you need to spend time doing the things that matter to you!

About you

Youre passionate and motivated to help vulnerable people make positive and lasting changes to their lives. Youll impress us with your ability to work on your own initiative, positively influencing people from all different backgrounds.  You will have some experience in safeguarding, risk assessments, confidentiality, support plans, alongside working collaboratively.

As Housing Management Worker youll support letting and re-letting homes, collecting rents, and taking formal tenancy action when needed. Youre great at managing your own time and have strong written and verbal communication skills.  

If youre not the biggest fan of technology, thats not a problem to us. You do need to know that we are quite a high-tech company and most of our application process and mandatory learning are online. However, were glad to support you, if you need help.   

It would be amazing if you have worked in this type of environment before, however its your €œcan do€ positive attitude and enthusiasm that are critical to make this role a success. We can nurture your talent, just let us know in your cover letter why you have a passion for working here!

As this is a community-based role, you need to be able to drive, as well as having access to a vehicle insured for business purposes. Dont worry, well pay you expenses to cover this use!

When you join, youll need to have a valid Enhanced Check under the Disclosure and Barring Service. The great news is that we will pay for that to be done if you dont have a transferrable one.
