Job Description

Science teacher needed in a secondary school in Dudley. Immediate start.

Your new school
The Headteacher is an established member of the school community, having worked at the school as a teacher for 16 years before taking on the role of Headteacher in 2020.
Having worked within the school for such a long period of time, this Headteacher took on his role with a clear plan for the school, building on the standards set by its predecessor. His key aims for the school are to create a safe and supportive school environment where students are encouraged to strive to be the best they can be. At its last OFSTED inspection, the school was rated 'good' being commended for its leadership and the ability to communicate the high expectations it sets effectively.
The school is located within 3 miles of Dudley town centre and 5 miles of Wolverhampton city centre, making it easily accessible by both car and public transport.
Due to the interim, the school requires Science cover for the term. Immediate start.
Your new role
This would be a full-time role 5 days a week, acting on a temporary basis. The role would require an experienced science teacher who is able to deliver engaging lessons to help the students' progress towards their goals and help reach their full potential, whilst furthering your experience and developing your teaching skills.
As well as delivering science lessons, you would also be required to keep track of students' progress and provide a positive environment, whilst also engaging with other faculty members to maintain standards within the school.
What you'll need to succeed
Do you have a passion for work and are you looking for an exciting new role within a Dudley school preparing and delivering science lessons to students in years 7 to 11?
If you possess a QTS or QTLS or you have just completed your PGCE and have previous experience teaching science within a Secondary Education environment, this may be the role for you.
What you'll get in return
At Hays, we strive to offer you a personal service, and you will work closely with your own specialist consultant who truly listens to your requirements.
You will be paid a competitive daily rate and will be fully supported by department members and SLT.
As well as being passionate about its students, this school also values the well-being of its employees, providing you with a supportive work environment. Along with support from the school, you will also receive full support from your Hays consultant throughout your employment journey.
If you know of any secondary teachers in and around the West Midlands that are suitable for this role, then refer a friend to Hays Education, and we'll reward you with £250 gift vouchers to spend on the high street.
