Band 4 Instructor required at a high security site near Uttoxeter.
The job holder will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance, harvesting and cultivating of the establishments gardens, ensuring protected cropping is grown and harvested to the highest standards and supervise/assess inmates helping within the grounds.
The client provides tools and uniform and will also provide training on keys and radios.
Hours of work are Monday-Friday, 39 hours per week
It is essential you are qualified to level 3 in horticulture or a recognised horticultural industry equivalent or be trained to the appropriate level within two years. As well as Holding PA2 and PA6 pesticide qualifications.
This role is a fundamental part of the organisation and requires you to have good communication skills, be able to follow strict procedures and have initiative to notify senior staff if there are any problems. You will be required to have an enhanced security clearance carried out by the organisation to ensure you are able to work on site.
The security clearance will require you to have photo ID such as a valid passport or photo card driving licence. Full training is provided but it would be beneficial to have prior experience of security, using radios and handling multiple keys for one site. A uniform is also provided.
You will need to provide 2 full working references from within the last year.
