Job Description

Business Intelligence and Customer Success Manager

About Geovation

Geovation is a critical part of Ordnance Survey, the national mapping agency for Great Britain, and a world-leading geospatial data and technology organisation

We believe that entrepreneurs have the power to make the world a better place, and were here to help them achieve that. We run market-leading accelerator programmes in Geotech and Proptech, connecting industry problems to start-up solutions, so that together we can have a positive impact on people, planet and profit. Geovation is a critical part of Ordnance Survey, the national mapping agency for Great Britain, and a world-leading geospatial data and technology organisation.

About the team

When you join Geovation, you join a community of over 1500 corporate innovators, entrepreneurs, developers and investors who all understand the power of location data. The team itself is based primarily at our London hub, where we have co-working desks, a beautiful events space and more free coffee than you could ever wish for. Were all entrepreneurs at heart, passionate about what we do and love nothing more than seeing our start-ups succeed. We get things done, whether we find a way, or make a way.

About the role

As Business Intelligence Manager, youre responsible for leading Geovations business insight, which includes everything from reporting on our commercial objectives, to tracking our alumni start-ups to assess current members satisfaction and compare it with other incubators. Youll be a key liaison between Geovation and our colleagues in Ordnance Survey, tracking our financials, performance on data and customer feedback. The role is both analytical as well as social, as youll be spending your time gathering data from spreadsheets as well as from start-ups! The role will include:

Understanding the performance of commercial and business activity - including statistical analysis, partner satisfaction, product performance, competitive landscape and market trends: subsequently creating actionable results

Find viable metrics to aid competitor benchmarking

Maintain oversight of Geovation finances and investment portfolio, highlighting any issues or opportunities and tracking budget spend

Creating, analysing and reporting on Geovation surveys and other feedback mechanisms, taking the lead on customer satisfaction and collecting as much insight as possible from both current and past members

Act as a co-ordination point between Ordnance Survey and Geovation, staying close to the OS strategy, gathering all insight requirements and collaborating effectively

Keep up to date with the Geospatial and accelerator landscape, contributing research and metrics to our strategy

Act as the main point of contact for alumni start-ups who have left the programme, so that we continue to track their success and support them as they grow

Manage our customer databases and ensure our data is managed in accordance with regulation

Support the business with other new opportunities or projects

What were looking for

Youll have an analytical mind-set and know your way around a spreadsheet as much as a balance sheet.

Youll be detail-oriented, with a sharp eye for picking out mistakes as well as opportunities in data.

Youll have strong financial acumen, with an understanding of managing investments as well as managing budgets.

Youll have the charisma and confidence to build lasting relationships, keeping our customers and stakeholders happy and informed.

Youll understand the unpredictable journey of a start-up business and be happy to support our founders with the ups and downs.

Youll be a champion of agile principles and work transparently with the wider team and organisation for optimal results.

Previous experience of working with accelerator programmes and innovation hubs is useful, but not essential. More important is an understanding that start-up workloads are transient, eventful and constantly changing.

The Rewards

We want you to love what you do. Thats why our benefits package rewards a job well done. Well give you:

Salary £30,345 - £33,915 + London Weighting

Performance related bonus
