Art Teaching role available in Lewisham, South East London

Art role in Secondary School Lewisham, South East London.
Rate: £175 - £220 per day depending on experience.
Start: Easter 2024
Type: temp, long term, ongoing or permanent

Your new company
Secondary Academy based in Lewisham, South East London is looking for a strong Art Teacher who can deliver lessons for KS3/KS4/KS5 Art and Fine Art classes. You will have the opportunity to work with and lead an already highly reputable school and join a well-organised department. This position is to start Easter 2024, on long term ongoing or permanent basis.
Your new role
Starting Easter 2024, you will be responsible for teaching Art across KS3 - KS5. As this is a long-term, whole year assignment, you will be responsible for planning and delivering lessons, as well as completing the subsequent marking and assessment of pupils' work, ensuring all pupils are progressing well within the classroom. As Head of the department, you will organise and overlook your colleagues.
This role will also require you to ensure all behaviour is appropriate, and that pupils are achieving to the best of their ability. As this is a long-term position, you will also be required to attend parents' evenings and other school functions.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful in securing this position, you must possess Qualified Teacher Status and have experience of teaching Art across KS3 to KS5. You must be available to start from Easter 2024, with a real passion and drive to provide a high quality of teaching and therefore contribute to the overall success of the department. Experience teaching Fine Arts would be very beneficial.
