English Teacher job in Solihull, £140-£200, long-term supply
Your new company
This Secondary School based in Solihull is looking for an English Teacher to join the Department. Receiving a "GOOD" in their latest OFSTED report, the school offers high-quality learning opportunities for all of its students. The school is passionate about building a sense of community. Creating positive relationships between students and staff is at the heart of the school.
Your new role
As this is a long-term role, starting from 8th April, you will be required to:

  • Plan and prepare English lessons for pupils in KS3 and KS4 (potentially KS5 dependent on experience)
  • Complete the marking and assessment of pupils' work, along with being involved with facility and department meetings.
  • You will deliver these lessons in a positive learning environment, ensuring all pupils are progressing consistently and achieving target grades.
  • Have a focus on keeping high expectations of students' attainment and behaviour.

  • What you'll need to succeed
    To be successful in securing this position, you must:
  • Possess Qualified Teacher Status or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills Status
  • Have experience teaching English within a secondary school. ECT's with English placement experience will be considered.
  • You will possess excellent behaviour management skills.
  • You will be keen to work as part of a team, share ideas and good practice.
  • You will be available to start asap and continue on a long-term basis.
