Teacher of Maths required for long term role


Your new company

Our client is a large secondary academy based in the Chesterfield area. Now part of a multi-academy trust, they are progressing with the shared vision of inclusivity and success for all. The school caters for students age 11 to 16, working closely with the community to further opportunities post 16.

Your new role

The Maths department are looking to temporarily add another teacher to their existing team to cover staff absence. You will be provided with all the necessary schemes of work and the supportive team will ensure that you are given the information and tools to teach your classes.

This position will be working across KS3 and KS4 with a variety of abilities. There is a distinct need for strong behaviour management with some of the classes, therefore a appreciation of the necessary skills is vital. You will be required to assist with planning lessons, marking students work and providing constructive feedback to ensure progression.

What you'll need to succeed

The ideal candidate for this position will be enthusiastic, energetic and dedicated to their subject. You will be required to work cohesively with other staff, and have wellbeing and achievement at the forefront of all you do. To be considered for this role you must;

  • Be a qualified Maths teacher or have at least 3 years teaching experience as an unqualified teacher
  • Have experience teaching both KS3 and KS4
  • Be able to demonstrate a high level of behaviour management
  • Have a DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one
  • Be immediately available for a long term role
