Job Description

Big Job – Bigger Opportunity – Lasting Legacy

Here at the Money and Pensions Service (MaPS), we believe a financially healthy nation is good for individuals, communities, businesses and the economy. As the largest single funder of free debt advice in England we helped almost 1.26 million people with debt advice, money guidance and pension guidance in the 2019/20 financial year. We\'re looking for people who have the right skills, knowledge and behaviours for the job, but equally as important is a strong commitment to our objectives, values and vision.

As the Programme Lead for the UK Financial Wellbeing Strategy, you will play a critical role in turning an ambitious, four nation, ten year strategy into a reality. Engaging with stakeholders across the public, private and third sectors, you will take a lead in developing the campaign to make financial wellbeing a part of policy, organisational strategies and vision across the UK to support people who need it the most. The potential impact of the UK Financial Wellbeing Strategy is huge; your role is to lead that into delivery.

You will have experience of coordinating national campaigns with significant public impact, ideally with subject matter expertise in at least one of the strategies key areas. An effective builder of relationships at all levels of business, you will have a proven track record of combining policy, strategy and stakeholder engagement skills to lead tangible delivery of complex programmes. You will have the credibility and gravitas to be a public face of the programme, along with programme management discipline to deliver a multi-faceted, multi-stakeholder, long term strategy of work. You will bring not just capability, but a clear sense of a strong value set in line with an organisation that champions inclusion, diversity, collaboration and successful delivery.
