About us

The King's Fund is an independent charitable organisation working to improve health and care in England. We have a high profile, strong reputation and excellent track record in influencing health and care policy, providing leadership development and hosting high quality events.

About the role

This is a new role and an exciting opportunity to join the Fund as we progress an ambitious programme of internal change outlined in our five-year strategy. You will be joining the CEO/HR team who are passionate about and play a key role in leading organisational development and our diversity and inclusion priorities.

We have been making progress through a programme of work that includes diversity mentoring, research on race inequalities in the NHS, participation in the Stonewall Workplace Equality Index and working towards targets for workforce representation. We are looking for someone with lived and professional experience in equality, diversity and inclusion who can build on this and accelerate some of the projects we know are important but havent quite had the expertise to realise.

Improving our diversity and inclusion is an organisation-wide endeavour and you will engage with many allies and colleagues across the Fund. Youll be responsible for supporting and challenging us to achieve our ambitions in this area, as well as delivering key projects. Youll bring deep experience and passion for diversity and inclusion, enable us to learn and have compassionate conversations about related issues, and be able to draw on data and evidence to develop our practice.

Here at the Fund, we actively encourage applicants from underrepresented backgrounds, people from Black and ethnic minority backgrounds, those with disabilities and from the LGBT+ community. We want people to bring their unique blend of experiences, backgrounds, perspectives and knowledge as we recognise that diversity makes us stronger.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, you may initially need to work remotely. Once our premises in London fully reopen, you will be expected to spend some of your time working in the office.
