Teacher of Geography required

Are you passionate about geography and want to share your knowledge and skills with the next generation of learners? Do you have QTS? Are you available immediately for a long term position? If so, you might be the perfect candidate for the vacancy we have currently.

Hays Education are proud to be working with a secondary academy in Sheffield, who are searching for a teacher to join their humanities department. Supported by dedicated practitioners within the department and school, you would be taking on a full timetable teaching KS3 and KS4. As a geography teacher you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging and inspiring lessons to students from Year 7 to Year 11, following the national curriculum and preparing them for GCSE exams. You will also be involved in the development and implementation of the school's geography curriculum, as well as participating in extracurricular activities and field trips. You will work closely with other teachers and staff members to create a positive and supportive learning environment for all students.

The ideal candidate for this role will be;
- Available immediately for long term work
- Have a DBS on the update service, or be willing to apply for one
- Have experience teaching Geography up to KS4
- Open to potentially transitioning into a permanent role in the school
- Able to demonstrate a high level of passion for your specialism

To be considered for this role, you will need to have a relevant degree, a PGCE or equivalent, and experience of teaching geography in a secondary school setting. You will also need to have excellent communication skills, a creative and flexible approach to teaching, and a strong commitment to the school's vision and values.
