PRODUCTION AND ANALYSIS MANAGER (SENIOR LEADERSHIP)

About the role

The Financial Reporting team is responsible for the complete, accurate and prompt preparation and submission of all regulatory and statutory reporting for the Life Companies.

This role is a key leadership role within the financial reporting team, requiring an experienced accountant to lead a team responsible for the delivery of results and analysis for allocated entities across the Life Division.

Key Responsibilities

To lead the consolidation, production, analysis and reporting of high quality and timely statutory, regulatory, other industry & government bodies reports for the regulated life companies (including, the life company in the Republic of Ireland). This includes both IFRS and Solvency II reports.

To lead and deliver the consolidated life companies reporting to the Group along with commentary and analysis for presentation to senior management.

To fully understand the interactions of all life funds from a financial reporting viewpoint to provide insights to stakeholders.

Provide professional accountancy advice to senior stakeholders including Executive teams to inform business strategy and manage delivery core outcomes.

Maintain a high level of accountancy knowledge and understanding of multiple different reporting bases (e.g. IFRS, S2) in order to ensure a comprehensive consultancy service can be provided to business decision makers.

Lead the provision of accountancy input into the development of new business processes to ensure that processes incorporate current legislation and reflect developments in industry standards where relevant.

Lead, develop, coach and mentor a team to maximise their contribution and ensure they are fairly rewarded.

To lead the efficient budget management on behalf of the budget holder and exercise delegated responsibility in making best use of the available resources ensuring services are delivered at a reasonable cost.

Participate in external committees and groups as required in order to promote the organisation's interests and influence the direction of any industry wide developments.

To liaise with other areas of the business ensuring integrity and consistency of reported results and analysis.

Essential

Qualified Accountant with significant PQE.

Significant experience of Life Company Accounting and Reporting.

A proven track record of producing sound technical accounting analysis and delivering regulatory and statutory reporting.

Good professional impact and credibility.

Able to communicate confidently, asserting influence at all levels and across functions.

Ability to communicate with other areas of the business and able to present information requests and financial data in an easily understandable manner.

Excellent organisational ability.

Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
