At the Defence and Security Accelerator (DASA), were looking for a motivated Secretariat and Corporate Comms Co-ordinator.

The role has two central functions:

Production of corporate communications, such as communications to internal Government partners, our Annual Review, speeches and presentations.

Being responsible for Secretariat responses for DASA including Freedom of Information requests (FOIs), Parliamentary Questions (PQs) and Treat Official responses (TQs).

The Secretariat and Corporate Comms Co-ordinator is part of DASAs Engagement team - ensuring our government partners are kept informed of our activities, and our official correspondence is managed and responded to in a timely, professional manner.

Job description

In this role you will:

Ensure the timely return of all Secretariat requirements, including FOIs, PQs and TOs.

Collaborate closely with the correct subject-matter specialists and Secretariats across MOD and in other government departments to ensure a co-ordinated return to Secretariat requirements.

Support the production of key messages and material for partners internal to Government.

Assist with the production of Annual Review collating copy from across DASA, including its Senior Management Team, Business Analysts and Innovation Partners.

Write and create content for presentations, including the main DASA presentation pack, and presentations for supplier and customer comms.

Assist the Head of DASA and wider DASA team with preparing speeches for events.

Contribute to online content and press releases.

Support the wider Engagement team.

Responsibilities

We are looking for someone who has:

Experience of corporate comms

Experience of handling official correspondence

Experience of producing written communication materials

An ability to prioritise, plan and manage competing demands

An ability to work effectively within a team

Flexibility and adaptability to change

Ability to working at pace to tight deadlines

Excellent communication skills both verbal and written

Desirable:

An understanding of the UK defence and security environment

Knowledge of producing corporate reports

Experience of the preparation of briefs, agendas and meeting minutes
