A bit about the role:

We have an exciting opportunity for someone conscientious and friendly to join our small but welcoming organisation. Working collaboratively as part of our small Secretariat Team, this role will help deliver high quality and timely administrative support to the whole organisation. This is a varied role, and would suit someone personable with excellent relationship building skills as you\'ll be working with individuals at all levels across the organisation, as well as externally.

Your particular focus within the Secretariat Team remit will primarily be to support the Chair and our Leadership Team, which is made up of our CEO and three Directors. This role is pivotal in enabling the organisation to operate smoothly and the Leadership Team to focus on key business priorities. Specifically this will involve demonstrating your excellent organisation and diary management skills, as well as providing proactive high-quality administrative support.

Supporting stakeholder meetings and events, including our annual Industry Forum, and quarterly Industry Liaison Panel, will be an important part of this role. You\'ll also be the primary contact and admin resource for our Board, Sub-Committees and Consumer Panel.  You\'ll provide the full spectrum of secretarial support to all these groups – covering everything from scheduling meetings, coordinating agendas, minuting, maintaining action logs, collating papers and preparing bundles.

You\'ll also have a key role to play in facilitating good organisational governance by maintaining our company registers, assisting our Finance Manager with completing statutory filings, monitoring the terms of our office holders, maintaining office holder handbooks and policies, and ensuring appropriate documents are shared under the publication scheme.

A bit about us:

We\'re a small organisation with around 45 staff.  We have worked hard to create a friendly and collaborative office culture, underpinned by our values. Currently, the majority of our staff are working remotely, although we have opened our Canary Wharf offices for a limited number of staff who prefer to work there.

We have a supportive management ethos with a strong emphasis on personal development. This means there\'s plenty of opportunities to learn from colleagues, job shadow, knowledge share, mentor and take part in project work.  When we're in the office, lunch & learns regularly feature on the agenda, and occasionally we invite guest speakers in to present. We have a Silver Investors in People award, which we\'re very proud of. The award demonstrates our commitment to our staff, and the value we place on our team.

We are committed to achieving and respecting equality, diversity and inclusion in everything we do.  This year we have made some specific pledges to help us build an inclusive culture:

To carry out training for our leaders and managers to ensure that we promote and encourage greater diversity of thought, input and voices at all our meetings, engagement with others, and in all our work.

To review our approach to recruitment and selection to ensure we reach and engage with a richly diverse mix of candidates.
