Quantity Surveyor - Residential new build

Your new company
A South East London-based house building contractor, expanding steadily over the last 10 years are now one of the largest and most recognisable house builders in the area. Due to growth via recently awarded projects, they now require a project Quantity Surveyor to strengthen the existing commercial team . You will be working within a surveying team of 3 looking after 2 to 3 schemes with the support of a managing QS. Projects are typically 20 - 50 unit apartment schemes, RC frame or traditional build, both private and HA spec.

Your new role
You will be working in a small commercial team overseeing 1-2 projects. You will be accurately reporting the financial and contractual situation of the project, measuring and allocating payments for work undertaken, agreeing day to day variations and generally ensuring all costs are being reviewed and in-line with the budget whilst keeping good relations with the client.

What you'll need to succeed
You will need surveying experience with residential schemes, ideally with a main contractor, you will have experience of JCT contracts and have some form of qualification in surveying. Previous experience of working on housing association / soho schemes would be a benefit. You will be confident in managing your own schemes and be it literate.
