At NHSBT, we celebrate life. From saving and enhancing as many lives as possible, through to creating a great quality of life for our colleagues we believe that an enriching experience should be available to all.

The donor experience underpins all that we do at NHS Blood & Transplant (NHSBT). From connecting with our valuable supporters to reaching out to those who could contribute to our life-saving work, we work tirelessly to raise awareness of the sector-leading transplant and transfusion services being developed within our organisation. Join our newly created Donor Experience directorate, and you will experience unparalleled opportunities to translate your boldest ideas into tangible results – all while being supported in the friendliest and most progressive workplace imaginable.

As Assistant Director of Donor Campaigns, Advertising and Creative Services you will work in partnership with the planning team and translate their insights into bold integrated campaigns. Shaping creative concepts to be used across all channels, you will be mindful of key dates throughout the year for donors, and you will ensure our multiple donation messages, relating to blood, plasma, tissue, organs and so forth, are not in conflict with one another. Managing key external supporting agencies, you will take responsibility for NHSBT’s brand reputation, seeing to it that a consistent tone of voice and messaging is being used on everything from websites to apps.

If you aren’t afraid to take chances with imaginative campaigns and concepts, then you will be a natural fit for our ambitious team. To make the most of this thrilling opportunity, you will have a proven track record in a senior leadership role as well as experience in developing and implementing complex campaign and media plans that engage with a large customer base you will enjoy leading and motivating a large team, inspiring them to innovate to achieve the best results.

We will support you with a desirable benefits package that includes a competitive NHS pension, generous annual leave and flexible working options. Then we’ll add in sector-leading development opportunities and the option to apply for funding for personal development, so that your skills always match your ambitions. We will support your work/life balance with the option to apply for this role as a job-share, in a variety of locations or travel whilst being a home worker.

Join our ambitious senior leadership colleagues, and you can help us build an even more loyal donor base by making the donor experience everything it should be. You will have the scope to make your mark and play a leading role in creating a diverse donor base with the right mix and volume of donors to meet patients’ needs today and in the future.
