Permanent, Full Time 37.5 hpw

Salary £18,200 to £18,450 pa rising to £19,200 through length of service

Sleep in Shifts of £35.00

At Home Group its critical we continue to deliver services for our customers during the COVID-19 outbreak, and our awesome colleagues are at the very heart of making that happen. We need Brilliant People like you to join us (and not just during this challenging time). We are doing things a little differently at the moment, so to keep you, our customers and ourselves safe well engage with you digitally where possible. 

We have a fabulous opportunity for you to join our awesome team. We support our brilliant customers, who have complex needs. They live in either our supported accommodation housing (single men), or in our satellite site housing, (both men and women) who have been found to be intentionally homeless.

We help our customers engage with a personalised support plan, to focus on developing their independent living skills. We work alongside them to complete a tenancy awareness course and prepare them to move onto suitable and sustainable accommodation. We take a multi-agency approach to work effectively to support our tenants.

About our team

Youll be working alongside our fabulous team, who are super passionate about supporting customers to reach their goals and celebrating their achievements. To us were not just a team were a €œwork family€. Our manager is Naomi, who has experience working in Housing for the past 7 years and is passionate about supporting the team. There are 4 of us in the team and we dont just love to support our customers, were there for each other too! We are planning out next picnic lunch together to have some time out of the office enjoying the sun.

Working hours 

We provide 24-hour support to our customers each day and every day. Youll work on a rota basis and take your turn working days, evenings, weekends and bank holidays. We need you to be flexible to meet the needs of our customers, but we aim to give you the time you need to spend time doing the things that matter to you!

Looking for a more flexible working pattern? You can also join us on a flexible basis by being part of our bank.  You can work hours that fit around your current commitments or even pick up some additional shifts to your main role to earn some extra cash and get paid on a weekly basis.

About you

Youre passionate and motivated to help vulnerable people make positive and lasting changes to their lives. Youll impress us with your ability to work on your own initiative, positively influencing people from all different backgrounds. You will have some experience in safeguarding, risk assessments, confidentiality, support plans, alongside working collaboratively.

We help change our customers lives for the better. Youll play your part by assisting in the delivery of tasks that are based on our customers personal support plans, and their needs and aspirations. Youll work with our Senior Support Workers and external agencies to assess and engage support for our customers. We empower our customers to develop the independent living skills they need, to successfully move on. Together well make a difference!

If youre not the biggest fan of technology, thats not a problem to us. You do need to know that we are quite a high-tech company and most of our application process and mandatory learning are online. However, were glad to support you, if you need help.  

To make sure our customers are well supported, its important that you have worked in a supported housing environment before. Dont worry, we wont drop you in the deep end, well help to you understand how things work at Home Group!

It would be amazing if you have worked in this type of environment before, however its your €œcan do€ positive attitude and enthusiasm that are critical to make this role a success. We can nurture your talent, just let us know in your cover letter why you have a passion for working here!

As this is a community-based role, youll need to travel around to spend time with your customers. You could do this role using public transport, or if you drive and have access to a car that would also be amazing! (we pay your expenses to cover this use!)

When you join, youll need to have a valid Enhanced Check under the Disclosure and Barring Service. The great news is that we will pay for that to be done if you dont have a transferrable one.
