Salary £4.55 to £8.72 per hour, depending on age (this is reflective of NMW)

Our award winning apprenticeship programme has been designed to get our customers on the career ladder! (How awesome is that!) Dont be put off by the word apprentice as you can be any age to apply.

So whats so great about this apprenticeship? Well, your wage will be higher than the national apprenticeship minimum wage, so start planning what to spend that extra cash on! Youll be employed for a 15 month period to get stacks of experience and launch your career! Youll start at NVQ level 2 (equivalent to a GCSE) with a possible progression to level 3 (equivalent to A-levels) and many apprentices secure a permanent role with us! Who knows where future you will end up!

About the role

Youll be working in our Wallsend service guided by our experienced Senior Client Services Manager, Susan, who has real passion for Care and Support. Shell help you settle into your new role supporting a team of colleagues whose passion is to help our customers successfully achieve the outcomes outlined on their individual support plans.

Youll provide customers with a helping hand and assist with some tasks to develop and maintain basic life skills that allow independent living.  

We take a person-centred approach in our work so caring and empathetic at the top of the must be list for any applicant. But, dont forget this is a learning role so well teach you everything else you need to know, and youll enjoy being part of a larger team who are full of energy and ready to show you the ropes. 

Hours of work are typically 9-5 with some weekend work    

Please note any offer of employment is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure check through the DBS the costs of which are met by Home Group. 

Who were looking for

You can apply for this apprenticeship if you are a current or former Home Group customer.

Ideally you will have good written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills and basic Microsoft Office Skills but before long youll be a real whizz!   You be great at working with people as part of a team, but must be able to work independently and use your initiative. Youll be keen to learn from others how to prioritise and manage your work load, but an eye for detail is important.
