Oakfields is a well-established service within Exeter, we work closely with the National Probation Service and the PPU. We support our customers, who have recently been released from the Justice System.  We help our customers to gain independence within the community and to build on the support networks and skills to move on to independent living. Our service provides a person-centred support package that supports customers in their own living environments, to learn and develop life skills, manage their own risks and outcomes with the aim being for them to move on to their own accommodation.

Our customers are unique, and very different in their own ways and in how we support them, but they all have varying support needs! Our colleagues say that no day is the same.

Our team are tight and really have each other's backs, they work together closely and get on well. Many of our team have moved on to progress their careers within the Criminal Justice System after working at Home Group. Simon, our Manager, has worked at Home Group for 7 years, and in his spare time he is slowly teaching himself how to play the Ukulele!  Heather and Saikat have worked here for more than twelve years, others have all been with us less, but all are experienced and highly skilled.

We provide 24-hour support to our customers every day, youll work on a rota basis and take your turn working weekends and bank holidays, so you're flexible around this to meet the needs of your customers. If you would rather work for us on a casual basis, we can help you with that too! Our fixed shifts are on 4 days on and 4 days off, with a working pattern of shifts from 9.30pm 7.30am.  Finally, if you are successful, we need you to have an Enhanced Disclosure Check through the Disclosure and Barring Service which well pay for.

It would be amazing if you have worked in this type of environment before, however its your €œcan do€ positive attitude and enthusiasm that are critical to make this role a success. We can nurture your talent, just let us know in your cover letter why you have a passion for working here!

When you join, youll need to have a valid Enhanced Check under the Disclosure and Barring Service. The great news is that we will pay for that to be done if you dont have a transferrable one.
