At Home Group its critical we continue to deliver services for our customers during the COVID-19 outbreak, and our awesome colleagues are at the very heart of making that happen. We need Brilliant People like you to join us (and not just during this challenging time). We are doing things a little differently at the moment, so to keep you, our customers and ourselves safe well engage with you digitally where possible. 

A great opportunity to join our awesome team. We support our brilliant customers, who have mild to moderate learning disabilities, but still capable of semi-independent living.

They live in a supported accommodation service, which is a block of 42 self-contained flats based at Keele Drive. We work in partnership with Azure care management, who provide one to one support for our tenants. We help our customers with housing management related issues, such as security and repairs, and building management. 

About our Team

Youll be working alongside our fabulous team, who are super passionate about supporting customers to reach their goals and celebrating their achievements. Our Manager is Tony, who has worked for Home Group for 8 years and enjoys his fitness which involves football and mountain walking, he is new to this role and looking for the best person to complete his team. There are 6 of us in total and we dont just support our customers, we are there for each other too!

Working Hours

The shifts are: 8:00am 4:00pm and 1:00pm 9:00pm - day shifts

8:45pm 8:30am - waking night shift.

We provide 24-hour support to our customers each day and every day.  Youll work on a rota basis and take your turn working days, evenings, weekends and bank holidays. We need you to be flexible to meet the needs of our customers, but we aim to give you the time you need to spend it doing the things that matter to you!

About you!

As our Housing Concierge youll play a really important role in supporting the smooth running of our services.  You will ensure the safety and securing of our buildings and of our customers, and make sure we get on with our neighbours!

Youll get involved in lots of different activities which will include monitoring CCTV, regularly patrolling the premises, monitoring visitors to and from the building and ensuring tenancy conditions and service rules are adhered to.  As our housing support Concierge, youll also provide out of hours cover being the first point of contact for our clients during the night and at times well also need you to do some general cleaning duties too.

Youre passionate and motivated to help vulnerable people make positive and lasting changes to their lives. Youll impress us with your ability to work on your own initiative.

If youre not the biggest fan of technology, thats not a problem to us. You do need to know that we are quite a high-tech company and most of our application process and mandatory learning are online. However, were glad to support you, if you need help.

When you join, youll need to have a valid Enhanced Check under the Disclosure and Barring Service. The great news is that we will pay for that to be done if you dont have a transferrable one.
