About the Role

You will join a new business unit at the heart of OS, responsible for the delivery and evolution of our products and services across the public sector. Your role will be to support the Head of Government Customers and Management Information in the development, implementation and delivery of our business plans, processes and customer change initiatives so that we successfully execute against our key milestones and delight our customers and stakeholders.

Your role will also be critical to helping unlock our wider ambitions to develop our business further with government, ensuring that we are engaged and maximising our opportunities through effective pipeline management, and supporting the development of new initiatives where required.  

What were looking for:

We are looking for an experienced business manager that is customer focused and keen to take on and shape this new role to ensure the National Mapping Services business unit is successful. We need you to have a proven track record as a business manager or other relevant role and/or BSc/Ba in Business Management or relevant field. Youll be confident preparing and presenting written collateral and in bringing together and leading virtual teams to deliver outcomes whilst managing stakeholder relationships also.

We need a business manager that can demonstrate their track record against the following essential criteria and competencies in their application:

Thorough understanding of business processes and executing business strategies, operating plans and procedures to drive business performance and efficiency.

Coordination progress against agreed metrics and milestones including financial goals to ensure business sustainability and growth.

Production of materials to support presentations at corporate boards, regular business updates and internal cross-business initiatives.

Delivering change to achieve customer satisfaction through championing improvements driven by customer insight and complaints.

Strong business and financial acumen and good understanding of managing and monitoring business performance and metrics.

Excellent organisational and relationship management skills.

Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.

Highly organised and detail oriented while not losing sight of the bigger picture.

Collaborative with a positive attitude and motivated by delighting customers.

Experience in public sector contract management is desirable.
