About the role:

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Software Engineers to join Ordnance Surveys Technology & Design Department and be part of a very exciting technology roadmap. You will Provide fully capable software development and configuration, ensuring software is secure and well-tested. This role also entails support and operation of the services you build and identify/resolve issues in production.

You will have the opportunity to apply modern engineering practices and work with some cutting-edge technologies to optimise delivery. We care about looking after today and delivering for tomorrow through continuous improvement so, you will have lot of opportunity to influence and shape how we work as a team and to learn and develop as an individual, with excellent career progression.

What were looking for:

If youre interested in joining a team that lies at the heart of what OS is about, were looking for an individual that can demonstrate skills and experience in:

Software engineering & industry best practice - TDD, BDD, automated testing

Geospatial technologies - ArcGIS Enterprise

Knowledge in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, NodeJS, Arcade, Python and ArcPy

Cloud-based technologies - Azure functions

Software configuration and engineering

Knowledge of modern engineering best practice

Track record in iterative and incremental development

Problem resolution and selection of technical solutions / applications

Experience in C# is desirable
