Clinical Team Leader (Clinical Psychologist)

Permanent, Full Time (37.5 hpw)

Salary £42,450 - £60,000 per annum depending on experience

We have an amazing opportunity for you to join our homeless crisis services which are based across three main sites in Newcastle Upon Tyne, supporting up to 150 customers who have complex and interconnected needs including mental health conditions, personality disorders, emotional and behaviours of concern.   Youll really make your mark, clinically leading our services and working strategically to develop them to be psychologically and trauma informed, embedding a PIE model as well as creating and maintaining a healthy psychological environment. 

 

Youll provide clinical leadership to our multi-disciplinary team which includes Occupational Therapists, Mental Health Practice Leads and our operational Care and Support team.  Youll lead on specialist psychological assessments, formulation and psychologically informed treatment, providing clinical advice to your colleagues on the day to day support required including interventions.  Youll lead individual and group reflective practice sessions to support the advancement of colleagues knowledge and practice, enabling support to be delivered which ensures safety, promotes recovery, wellbeing and maximises independence.  Youll also support the embedding of our exciting new LIFE support practice model (Living Independently and Feeling Enabled) so that it is delivered in a safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led way. 

 

This is a really exciting time to join us in developing our services, creating new ways of integrating health and social care into housing, and helping to eradicate street homelessness in Newcastle, working with key stakeholders across the City.  

 

Youll report to Garry our Partnership Manager who is really passionate about housing, and loves sport, travel and the great outdoors.  Your clinical supervision will be provided by our Clinical Practice Team.  The team meet on a regular basis to shape and deliver our services and always make time for cuppa and natter.

A bit about you

It goes without saying that youll be an experienced Clinical Psychologist, holding relevant professional qualifications; HCPC registered Practitioner Psychologist, BPS, Doctoral Degree or equivalent.  Youll be experienced in working with a wide variety of customers across the full range of clinical severity, including some experience of working with customers who have complex needs, adolescent and adult mental health issues.   Youll have a brilliant background in providing clinical supervision and unleashing the potential of colleagues through your clinical advice, support and training.  Youll have a genuine passion for working with people who have experienced homelessness and will bring evidenced based clinical approaches.

 

Ideally, youll have a current driving licence and access to a car or be willing to use public transport to travel and work from our citywide services.  Well pay your mileage.
