At national Citizens Advice, we provide advice direct toclients through our digital content, and we support a network of 280 localCitizens Advice across England and Wales - each an independent charity. Ourservices are provided by 23,000 trained volunteers and 7,000 paid staff.

Our advice changes lives, and it generates significantsocial value. In 2017/18, our advice saved the public purse £435 million,generated £2.7 billion in financial outcomes for clients, and £2.6 billion inwider economic and social benefits such as wellbeing, participation andproductivity. What will you be doing?

Nationally Funded Services form an increasingly significantproportion of the advice delivered by Citizens Advice valued around £100m p.a.,and have grown rapidly over the last 5 years. This rapid growth has resulted ininefficiencies and difficulties in mobilisation, which impact the number ofCitizens we can support and negate some of the benefits that our Funders arelooking to achieve.

This programme of work is looking to maximise benefits toCitizens, Funders and Citizens Advice by optimising the way that we deliverFunded Services. As such this is a strategically important piece of work and islikely to involve significant change across the organisation.

In this role, you can expect to

To programme / project manage significant elements of thishigh-profile, business critical, priority programme for Citizens Advice. Thiswill include the development and co-ordination of a work programme across arange of departments and external stakeholders, working in a highly complexenvironment to achieve the delivery of a new Target Operating Model for FundedServices.

What we’ll want to see from you

To succeed in this role, we’d like you to tick most of thefollowing:

  • Experience of successfully programme managing complex business projects
  • Proven track record of managing transformation projects and ensuring that work remains focussed on strategic outcomes in a complex business and stakeholder environment
  • Experience of digital transformation would be highly advantageous

Our roles are open to discussion about flexible working,which may include arrangements such as part-time working, formalised flexitime,fixed (non-standard) working hours, working from home and job-sharing.  

Flexible working - while our teams are office based, it'sfine to work from home regularly, and we welcome discussions about workingpart-time.
