At Home Group its critical we continue to deliver services for our customers during the COVID-19 outbreak, and our awesome colleagues are at the very heart of making that happen. We need Brilliant People like you to join us (and not just during this challenging time). We are doing things a little differently at the moment, so to keep you, our customers and ourselves safe well engage with you digitally where possible. 
 
We have a fabulous opportunity for you to join our awesome team. We house our brilliant customers who are aged over 55 years and want to live independently but with some assistance on site.  Our customers live in a community comprising of self-contained flats with a communal lounge, kitchen and garden, similar to sheltered accommodation.
 
Youll be our Housing and Property Guru! Focussing on tenancy support, youll provide a housing management service to our customers, supporting them to manage their tenancy and rent accounts.  Youll also help our customers with their housing benefit claims and making sure that these are received on their rent account.  Youll turn around vacant bed spaces so that new customers who need our help can move in quickly. Youll also make sure our service achieves maximum occupancy, that the building is secure and that we are health and safety compliant!
 
About our team
Youll be working alongside our fabulous team who are super passionate about supporting customers to reach their goals an€ celebrating their achievements.  To us were not just a team were a work family€. Our manager is Nicole who has been with Home Group for over two years. Nicole is very customer focused and works hard to make sure our customers are satisfied with the service Home Group provides.  There are eight of us in the team and we dont just love to support our customers, were there for each other too! Although the team works across two counties they are great at at keeping in touch and making sure everyone feels part of the team.
 
Working hours
Youll be working 9-5 Monday to Friday
 
About you
Youre passionate and motivated to help vulnerable people make positive and lasting changes to their lives. Youll impress us with your ability to work on your own initiative, positively influencing people from all different backgrounds.  You will have some experience in safeguarding, risk assessments, confidentiality, support plans, alongside working collaboratively.
 
As Housing Management Coordinator youre experienced in managing a housing management caseload and overseeing landlord and housing management duties. You know all about re-letting of rooms or units, collecting rents, and taking formal tenancy action when needed. Youre great at managing your own time and have strong written and verbal communication skills. 
 
To keep our records straight, and customers safe, it's really important that you are technologically savvy (or at the very least not a technophobe!)
 
To make sure our customers are well supported, its important that you have worked in a housing environment before. Dont worry, we wont drop you in the deep end, well help to you understand how things work at Home Group! It would be amazing if you have worked with the over 55 age group before, however its your €œcan do€ positive attitude and enthusiasm that are critical to make this role a success. We can nurture your talent, just let us know in your cover letter why you have a passion for working here!
 
As this is a community based role, you need to be able to drive, as well as having access to a car insured for business purposes. Dont worry, well pay you expenses to cover this use!
 
When you join, youll need to have a valid Enhanced Check under the Disclosure and Barring Service. The great news is that we will pay for that to be done if you dont have a transferrable one.
