Salary £18,200 to £18,450 pa rising to £19,200 through length of service From £9.33 per hour if youd prefer to work on a casual basis

We have a fantastic opportunity for a brilliant Supported Living Worker like you to join our fab and supportive team. Our Beech Range mental health step down service and CQC registered service provides support to our brilliant customers who have transitioned from hospital to our service for a short term stay where we provide both accommodation and support.
 
Youll support our customers to live their day to day lives as independently as possible. The team will tell you that no two days are ever the same because everything we do is €œperson centred€ around our customers. Like our team, were sure youll find the role ever so rewarding.
 
As our waking night Supported Living Worker youll be a lone worker. Youll offer our customers a first point of call when needed. During your shift you will support with personal care if necessary (like bathing and issuing medication). Youll also make sure all customer records are up to date, safeguarding the building and carrying out some cleaning duties.
 
About our team
Although youll work nights, we do get together regularly in the daytime for training and team meetings. Youll be part of our wider team who are super passionate about supporting customers to reach their goals and celebrating their achievements.  To us were not just a team were a work family. Our manager is Hayley Hepworth who has been working for Home Group since we set up Beech Range back in summer 2018.  There are ten of us in the team and we dont just love to support our customers, were there for each other too! Bhavna Patel is the Operations Manager for our service and she has worked for Home Group for over 12 years and held various roles during that time and is super proud of Beech Range. 
 
Working hours
We provide 24-hour support to our customers each day and every day. In this role youll work during the twilight hours doing waking nights work. Youll work 4 nights on a rota basis and take your turn working weekends and bank holidays. We look need you to be flexible to meet the needs of our customers, but we aim to give you the time you need to spend time doing the things that matter to you!

Looking for a more flexible working pattern? You can also join us on a flexible basis by being part of our bank.  You can work hours that fit around your current commitments or even pick up some additional shifts to your main role to earn some extra cash and get paid on a weekly basis.
 
About you

Youre compassionate and use your unique empathy and creativity skills to help our customers reach their full potential. Treating your customers with integrity, you ensure that they maintain their dignity at all times.
 
We help our customers to achieve their potential, long term goals and to live their best life. Youll play your part by assisting in the delivery of tasks that are based on our customers personal support plans. Youll work with other colleagues in the service and external agencies to support our customers.
 
To we keep our records straight, and customers safe, it's really important that you are technologically savvy (or at the very least not a technophobe!)
 
To make sure our customers are well supported, its important that you have experience of working in a mental health service before. You have a great understanding of professional boundaries, responsibility for safeguarding, risk assessment, confidentiality and have experience in case management.  Dont worry, we wont drop you in the deep end, well help to you understand how things work at Home Group!
 
When you join, youll need to have a valid Enhanced Check under the Disclosure and Barring Service. The great news is that we will pay for that to be done if you dont have a transferrable one.
