Support Worker Location Barrow in FurnessFull Time (37.5 hpw), Fixed term (12 months) Salary of £18,200 to £18,450 pa Empowering customers to live rewarding and happy lives. Thats when it hits home. We support our brilliant customers who have been or at risk of becoming homeless, to improve their independence, health and wellbeing and personal resilience. Customers live in a supported service comprising of 8 self-contained one bedroom flats with communal areas. We help our customers to maintain their tenancies, support with budgeting and daily living skills and engage with external services Customer quote"It was good to have support within a safe and secure environment, when I needed it" About our teamYoull be working alongside our fabulous team, Tracy, Sophie, Lisa, Courtney and Katherine who are super passionate about supporting customers to reach their goals and celebrating their achievements. To us were not just a team were a work family. Our manager is Dawn who has been with Home Group over 15 years. Working hoursYoull work on a rota basis between the hours of 9 am and 7 pm Monday to Friday and take your turn working weekends 10 am- 1pm and bank holidays. We need you to be flexible to meet the needs of our customers, but we aim to give you the time you need to spend time doing the things that matter to you! BankLooking for a more flexible working pattern? You can also join us on a flexible basis by being part of our bank. You can work hours that fit around your current commitments or even pick up some additional shifts to your main role to earn some extra cash and get paid on a weekly basis. About youYoure passionate and motivated to help vulnerable people make positive and lasting changes to their lives. Youll impress us with your ability to work on your own initiative, positively influencing people from all different backgrounds. You will have some experience in safeguarding, risk assessments, confidentiality, support plans, alongside working collaboratively. We help change our customers lives for the better. Youll play your part by assisting in the delivery of tasks that are based on our customers personal support plans, and their needs and aspirations. Youll work with our Senior Support Workers and external agencies to assess and engage support for our customers. We empower our customers to develop the independent living skills they need, to successfully move on. Together well make a difference! If youre not the biggest fan of technology, thats not a problem to us. You do need to know that we are quite a high-tech company and most of our application process and mandatory learning are online. However, were glad to support you, if you need help. To make sure our customers are well supported, its important that you have worked in a supported housing environment before. Dont worry, we wont drop you in the deep end, well help to you understand how things work at Home Group! As this is a community-based role, you need to be able to drive, as well as having access to a car insured for business purposes. Dont worry, well pay you expenses to cover this use! When you join, youll need to have a valid Enhanced Check under the Disclosure and Barring Service. The great news is that we will pay for that to be done if you dont have a transferrable one.
