Manchester
Permanent, Part Time (25 hpw) 
Salary of £20,000 to £21,800 pa, pro-rata
On call shift payment of £14.30 per session

We have a fabulous opportunity for you to join our awesome Beech Range service in the vibrant city of Manchester. This is your chance to be part of something brilliant at Home Group. Beech Range is Home Groups New Models of Care service that went live in July 2018. Were not providing your traditional supported housing services but rather trailblazing the way in delivering brilliant long term outcomes for vulnerable people through integrated health, housing and care.
 
With the support of the Registered Manager you will have a genuine passion to lead our service in delivering aspirational person centred housing related support. Youll be helping to manage this registered service which provides step down support to adults leaving hospital who have had an acute admission relating to their mental health.  We are super proud that we provide a stepping stone for people who have been in a clinical environment (but no longer in need of a hospital bed) to semi-independent shared living, who then after a short stay with us can transition back into the community.
 
Leading a team of frontline support staff, youll help us deliver efficient, high quality, cost effective and customer centred services. Youll help empower our customers to live independently and make it a great place to work for our colleagues.  As a manager youll ensure the high performance and quality assurance of our services using your experience and strong skills in effectively motivating and directing colleagues.  Youll also monitor service performance against contractual targets as well as work with the management team to ensure we are fully compliant with the regulatory standards as set out by the Care Quality Commission.

There are 10 in the Beech Range team and we dont just love to support our customers, were there for each other too! Hayley is the Registered Manager who has been with the service since it opened.  Hayley in her personal time enjoys walking and has recently taken up cycling to help her stay fit. 
 
You will report to Bhavna who is the Operations Manager for the service and she has responsibility for other services at Home Group in the North West region. Bhavna has worked for Home Group for over 12 years and during that time has held various roles. In her own time Bhavna enjoys playing badminton and travelling.  
 
Working hours

A bit about you
To be awesome in this job, your key strengths will lie in people management and motivation, bringing colleagues together to share information and best practice. Youll maintain strong professional relationships with your peers and their teams as well as external stakeholders.  Well be impressed with your passion for promoting independence and social inclusion through person centred support, as well as your focus on quality, efficiency and your ability to develop service provision in new and innovative ways. 
 
We do need you to have an excellent working knowledge of the Housing and Care and Support sectors, safeguarding processes and housing law.  Youll be able to respond quickly and appropriately to emerging risks to individuals, teams or the contract and its also important that you have excellent communication skills, IT skills and strong analytical skills too. So join us and lead a team which is doing things differently and spending more time making a real difference to vulnerable peoples lives.
 
To make sure our customers and colleagues are well supported, its important that you have worked in a mental health service/environment before. Dont worry, we wont drop you in the deep end, well help to you understand how things work at Home Group!
 
As this is a leadership role there will be occasions when we need you to attend meetings and therefore you need to be willing to travel on rare occasions.  You could do this role using public transport, or if you drive and have access to a car that would also be amazing! (we pay your expenses to cover this use!)
 
When you join, youll need to have a valid Enhanced Check under the Disclosure and Barring Service. The great news is that we will pay for that to be done if you dont have a transferrable one.
