Project Manager required to work for a Co. Antrim based Contractor on a retail scheme

Your new company
Your new company is seeking to hire an experienced Site Manager for upcoming projects. You'll be working as part of a family-owned, continuously growing construction company with over 40 years of industry experience to work with. Specialising in industrial, commercial, and residential construction. This company operates across Northern Ireland and will not require any travel outside the country. With a busy order book for the year ahead, your new employer could base you on one of their current live projects from the renovation of one of Northern Ireland's many historic sites, building tomorrow's homes, or the construction of new retail and commercial spaces across Northern Ireland.Your new role
The role of Site Manager will see you be a part of a team working on an exciting new retail development located in Carrickfergus, County Antrim. Located just 25 minutes from Belfast, you'll find a convenient motorway commute no matter where you call home. Working as part of a management team, you'll be expected to oversee the progress of the project from inception to completion, while working with specialist members of your team to ensure the project will be completed on time, on budget and on specification. As Site Manager, some of your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Oversee the day-to-day direction of the entire project or a specific stage within it to ensure it meets expectations and deadlines.
  • Ensure Health & Safety is always maintained as well as adjusting timelines based on the project's progress, and regularly communicate project goals to on-site employees.
  • Regularly review project progress to assess how closely it's proceeding to the projected timeline.
  • Manage onsite labour and specialist trades to ensure quality is achieved throughout the course of the build.
  • Liaises with all internal and external stakeholders including sub-contractors and clients while ensuring the quality delivery of the project.
  • What you'll need to succeed
    To succeed in this role, you will have previous experience overseeing construction projects in a Site Management capacity, specifically taking projects from inception to completion.
    You will have previous experience of carrying out works at a management level, as well as possessing relevant tickets (e.g. SMSTS / SSSTS / CSCS / NVQ). You will be a self-starter with excellent leadership skills and technical ability, possessing a keen eye for detail whilst upholding high standards throughout the programme of works. This client will be open to candidates coming from traditional trades or engineering backgrounds.What you'll get in return
