Your new company
You will be joining a contractor based in the Birmingham area working on a range of Civils and M&E schemes within the water sector for a major framework. This multi-accredited contractor has a strong pipeline of work in the water sector, and their commitment to delivering an exceptional standard of work has positioned them as a leader within the Civil Engineering industry. Due to continued success, they are looking to onboard a Project Manager to join their team.
Your new role
As Project Manager you will be based out of their Birmingham office and be responsible for, but not limited to, producing financial forecasts, monitoring and controlling projects costs and cost reporting, delivering projects from design phase through to completion, developing and maintaining construction programmes, chairing weekly site meetings, ensuring detailed site diaries/records are completed as well as reviewing progress, budget resources and forward planning. This role involves a mixture of office- and site-based work.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you will have proven experience as a Project Manager in the water sector or sufficient experience as a Site manager or Site Agent looking for a step-up. In addition, you will hold a CSCS card, SMSTS and First Aid qualifications, and have good working knowledge of NEC contracts. Finally, you will have strong problem-solving skills and be able to liaise proficiently with internal and external stakeholders.
