Hays are delighted to be working alongside the Northern Ireland Executive who are seeking an experienced Electrician to join their team in Newtownabbey.
Your new role
You will work alongside the electrical inspections team, carrying out a range of maintenance and repair works across NIHE properties in Newtownabbey and the surrounding areas. You will be required to undertake first and second fix electrical work, fault-finding and inspecting smoke alarms and other electrical equipment. Working as an electrician, you will ensure all work is carried out while adhering to the necessary health and safety regulations.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role, you must have a full driving licence, with previous experience in a similar maintenance position. You must be a time-served electrician with a recognised electrical apprenticeship and be 18th edition certified. You will need to be able to provide a recent employment reference.
What you'll get in return
You will work from 8.30-16.30 Monday to Thursday and 8.30-16.00 on Friday, 37 hours per week. You will be paid weekly, with a competitive hourly rate on offer and have access to 35 days of annual leave.
