History Teacher role in Wandsworth, London
Salary: £180 - 230 per day depending on experience
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Term: temp on going
Contract Type: Full Time (Monday - Friday)

Your new company
Ofsted rated 'Good' Secondary Academy based in Wandsworth, London, are looking for an experienced and inspiring History Teacher who can deliver lessons KS5 (EDEXCEL). You will have the opportunity to work with an already highly reputable and well-organised school and join their experienced team. This position is to start from January 2024 (ASAP) on a temporary basis till April, with the potential to be extended.
Your new role
Starting ASAP, you will be responsible for teaching KS5 History lessons and might be asked to cover other lessons occasionally. As this is a long-term assignment, you will be responsible for planning and delivering lessons, as well as completing the subsequent marking and assessment of pupils' work, ensuring all pupils are progressing well within the classroom.
This role will also require you to ensure all behaviour is appropriate, and that pupils are achieving to the best of their ability. As this is a long-term position, you will also be required to attend parents' evenings and other school functions.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful in securing this position, you must possess UK Qualified Teacher Status and have experience of teaching history across all key stages. Must have highly positive two most recent references.
You must be available to start ASAP till at least April 2024 on a full-time basis, with a real passion and drive to provide a high quality of teaching and therefore contribute to the overall success of the department.
