Thats when it hits home. We have a fabulous opportunity for you to join our awesome team. We support our brilliant customers, who are all adults who have a mental health diagnosis. They live in fully furnished single flats within walking distance of our core house, where customers can socialise, spend time with other customers and help us shape our service and influence themes of group sessions and activities. We help our customers with many different areas of daily living skills. This can include helping to understand mail, learning to cook, clean or develop routines. We also help our customers develop coping strategies and help them to take positive risks to reach their goals. Our manager is David Robinson. He has worked for Home Group for 8 years and joined the team at West Cornforth 4 years ago. There are 9 of us in the team and we dont just love to support our customers, were there for each other too! In the team we have Gemma, Sonia, Beckie, Lisa, Lyn, Kristian and Chris. We have over 50 years of experience, with some colleagues in the team having close to 20 years of service. During those years, they have supported so many customers and have seen the service develop and change into the team we have now. We also have the help and support of our Clinical Staff Jenny and Jo, they are on hand to give additional help and support where needed to ensure were able to support our customers to the best of our ability as well as offering supervision and training to the team. Youll work on a rota basis between the hours of 8am and 9:15pm and take your turn working days, evenings, weekends and bank holidays. We need you to be flexible to meet the needs of our customers, but we aim to give you the time you need to spend it on doing the things that matter to you! Looking for a more flexible working pattern? You can also join us on a flexible basis by being part of our bank.  You can work hours that fit around your current commitments or even pick up some additional shifts to your main role to earn some extra cash and get paid on a weekly basis. About youYoure passionate and motivated to help vulnerable people make positive and lasting changes to their lives. Youll impress us with your ability to work on your own initiative, positively influencing people from all different backgrounds. You will have experience in safeguarding, risk assessments, confidentiality, support plans, alongside working collaboratively. We help change our customers lives for the better. Youll play your part by assisting in the delivery of tasks that are based on our customers personal support plans, and their needs and aspirations. Youll work with our Support Coordinator, Clinical Staff and external agencies to assess and engage support for our customers. We empower our customers to develop the independent living skills they need, to successfully move on. Together well make a difference! If youre not the biggest fan of technology, thats not a problem to us. You do need to know that we are quite a high tech company and most of our application process and mandatory learning are online. However were glad to support you, if you need help.   To make sure our customers are well supported, its important that you have worked in a supported housing environment before. Dont worry, we wont drop you in the deep end, well help you to understand how things work at Home Group! As this is a community based role, youll need to travel around to spend time with your customers. You could do this role using public transport, or if you drive and have access to a car that would also be amazing! We pay your expenses to cover this use! When you join, youll need to have a valid Enhanced Check under the Disclosure and Barring Service.
