About the role

Based in our Investment Office, you’ll report to and primarily be responsible for supporting the Head of Derivatives Risk and Securities Lending through the analysis and reporting of derivatives risks. Key Responsibilities

• Risk Analysis – managing the production of Value at Risk, counterparty exposures and sensitives analysis on derivatives positions.

• Leading on derivatives hedge effectiveness reviews covering all derivative types (equity options, forwards, futures, IRS, RPI swaps, swaptions, CDS). Making recommendations for improvements current strategies / processes.

• Analysis/ explain of the Derivative and stock lending MI (i.e. investigating changes in exposures between periods and explaining these).

• Reviewing externally produced analyses, detecting errors and proposing process improvements.

• Monitoring risks on the securities lending programme, covering counterparty credit reviews, exposure analysis, collateral concentrations, liquidity risks, VaR, stress / scenario testing.

• Justifying the limits and parameters (or recommending changes) on the securities lending programme, based on the results of the analyses performed.

Essential

• Good at working with large data sets

• Advanced excel skills and experience of using Bloomberg

• Confident working on multiple tasks and to tight deadlines

• Understanding of investment asset classes

• High attention to detail

Desirable

• Knowledge and experience of derivatives would be beneficial

• Broad understanding of legal, tax and regulatory environment.
