Salary £4.35 to £8.21 per hour, depending on age (this is reflective of NMW)

So whats so great about this apprenticeship? Well, your wage will be higher than the national apprenticeship minimum wage, so start planning what to spend that extra cash on! Youll be employed for a 15 month period to get stacks of experience and launch your career! Youll start at NVQ Level 2 (equivalent to a GCSE) with a possible progression to Level 3 (equivalent to A-levels) and more than that - many apprentices secure a permanent role with us! Who knows where in future you will end up!

About the role

We are looking to expand our growing Housing Team across the Midlands area and we have a great opportunity for an apprentice to join that team.  Its a big team and we work across Milton Keynes, High Wycombe, Kettering, Oxford and Northampton and you can be assigned to any one of those areas dependent upon where you live, the choice is yours.  There is a Housing Manager in each area who you will be assigned to. 

Our Managers are Anni, Hannah, Liz, Kim and Julie, we also have a team of Community Housing Assistants Steph, Jaya and Clare, who have recently joined us so there are plenty of people who will help along your apprentice journey. The opportunities are great and varied, we will help you develop your skills within the housing world by working proactively to support the housing team in day to day activities and practical tasks. We will also develop your understanding of housing law, health and safety, customer satisfaction, income management and all things compliance by practical application and experience.  No two days are the same, you could be assisting with estate inspections one day and the next helping plan and deliver a community fun day. 

We work hard but we also ensure we have fun doing it, there is plenty of laughter at our team meetings as well as the obligatory cakes! We embrace the energy and new perspectives that our apprentices bring, it keeps us fresh and contemporary, so if you would like to join our energetic fun loving team€¦read on.

Hours of work are typically 9am to 5pm but flexibility is important in this role too!

Please note any offer of employment is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure check through the DBS the costs of which are met by Home Group

Who were looking for

You can apply for this apprenticeship if you are a current or former Home Group customer.

Ideally you will have good written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills and basic Microsoft Office Skills but before long youll be a real whizz! You be great at working with people as part of a team, but must be able to work independently and use your initiative. Youll be keen to learn from others how to prioritise and manage your work load, but an eye for detail is important.
