Mental Health Practice Lead

Flexible base location, but covering our services in Aldershot and Basingstoke

Permanent, Full Time (37.5 hpw).  Brilliant work/life balance

Salary circa £40,000 dependent on skills and experience

Were trailblazing the way in delivering brilliant long term outcomes for vulnerable people through integrating health, housing and care.  

 

We have a fabulous opportunity for you to join our Social Inclusion Pathways Services based in Aldershot and Basingstoke, which provide supported accommodation to our customers with complex support needs. Customers may have a mental health diagnosis, or drug and alcohol issues, and require support managing their housing and reaching their goals and aspirations. The ultimate aim is that our customers will move on independently in the community. Youll also be working within our North Hampshire Mental Health pathway which provides support to our customers who have an enduring mental health diagnosis within an accommodation support setting.  

  

As a Registered Mental Health Nurse, Social Worker or Occupation Therapist (and recognised by the professional governing body) youll be developing and coaching our Support Workers to ensure that high quality individualised care is delivered which ensures safety, recovery, wellbeing and maximises customers ability to live independently and feel enabled.

 

As an experienced professional, youll lead practice development, developing and delivering specialist training packages to our colleagues, embedding core competencies as well as oversight of clinical or professional supervision.  Youll also be the point of contact for individual support and coaching of the Managers in our services.  Youll be really enhancing colleagues knowledge and skills, promoting regular, honest and supportive feedback.

About our team

Youll be working alongside our fabulous Hampshire colleagues who are super passionate about supporting customers to reach their goals and celebrating their achievements. To us we're not just a team were a "work family". Our manager is Kiron, whos been with us at Home Group for a whole decade! And youll be working alongside one of our Senior Client Service Managers Chris, who has been at Home Group for fourteen years so he knows a thing or two about the supported housing environment! Chris will be there for you as a buddy in your first few weeks so youll have a friendly face to go to alongside Kiron, and as well as having access to our clinical team. Kiron and her teams are a real supportive bunch, really excited about you joining us and helping to develop our services!

 

Working hours

Its the teams unwritten rule that you attend the important appointments in life, be it your childs school play, your partners graduation, or to get your new fridge delivered. The service runs 24/7 so you really can choose your hours to suit your work/life balance. You can elect to fit these around your working day or use your flexi to take the time off. Our focus is on getting the job done, not your working hours!

 

About you

Youll already be a professional working with people, whether thats as an Occupational Therapist, Social Worker or Registered Mental Health Nurse, its your €œcan do€ positive attitude and enthusiasm that are critical to make this role a success. Youll have experience of working with young people or adults as well as managing, coordinating, delivering and evaluating training to colleagues on an individual and group basis.

 

Youll have an eye for detail, being able to analyse complex data and make expert judgements. Youll really impress us with your ability to unleash the potential of colleagues through offering clinical advice, coaching, mentoring and training.  Youll also bring a creative spark and ability to understand where our customers are in their lives, using evidence based practice, care delivery and current occupational therapy based interventions.

 

Well also support you with your own continual professional development as well maintaining your professional registration through regular professional or clinical supervision and reflective practice. And of course well help to you understand how things work at Home Group!

 

When you join, youll need to have a valid Enhanced Check under the Disclosure and Barring Service. The great news is that we will pay for that to be done if you dont have a transferrable one.
