Youll empower our customers to take control of their health and wellbeing by giving time to focus on €œwhat matters to me€. Building trusting relationships, youll create a shared personalised care and support plan and connect our customers to community groups, VCSE organisations and services.

About our team

Youll be working alongside Kieran, the Senior Client Service Manager leading the service, and 15 other colleagues, who are all super passionate about supporting customers to reach their goals and celebrate their achievements. When Kieran is not at work he can normally be found socialising with friends or spending time in Wales. Kieran has worked here at Home Group for many years, loves working with and supporting people to be their best, and is keen to start a new journey for our Mental Health carers service and you can be a part of this. Its an exciting time to join us and be part of something where you have a real input and influence!

Working hours

We need you to be flexible to meet the needs of our customers, but we aim to give you the time you need to spend it doing the things that matter to you! Our service operates from 8am 8pm Monday to Friday, there is loads of flexibility around working hours, but key for us all is that we put our customers first.

Bank

Looking for a more flexible working pattern? You can also join us on a flexible basis by being part of our bank.  You can work hours that fit around your current commitments or even pick up some additional shifts to your main role to earn some extra cash and get paid on a weekly basis.

About you

Youre passionate and motivated to help vulnerable people make positive and lasting changes to their lives. Youll impress us with your ability to work on your own initiative, positively influencing people from all different backgrounds.  You will have some experience in safeguarding, risk assessments, confidentiality, support plans, alongside working collaboratively.

Youre a good listener, have time for people and are committed to supporting our communities to care for each other. You also have experience of working positively with people facing complex social and emotional challenges. You will have great interpersonal skills in supporting people, community groups and local organisations.

We help change our customers lives for the better. Youll play your part by assisting in the delivery of tasks that are based on our customers personal support plans, and their needs and aspirations. Youll work with our Senior Support Workers and external agencies to assess and engage support for our customers. We empower our customers to develop the independent living skills they need, to successfully move on. Together well make a difference!

To make sure that we keep our records straight, and customers safe, it's really important that you are technologically savvy (or at the very least not a technophobe!). As this is a community based role, you need to be able to drive, as well as having access to a car insured for business purposes. Dont worry, well pay you expenses to cover this use!

When you join, youll need to have a valid Enhanced Check under the Disclosure and Barring Service. The great news is that we will pay for that to be done if you dont have a transferrable one.
