Shaping our future with brilliant apprentices! Thats when it hits home.

Our award winning apprenticeship programme has been designed to get our customers on the career ladder! (How awesome is that!) Dont be put off by the word apprentice as you can be any age to apply.

So whats so great about this apprenticeship? Well, your wage will be higher than the national apprenticeship minimum wage, so start planning what to spend that extra cash on! Youll be employed for a 12 month period to get stacks of experience and launch your career! Youll start at NVQ Level 2 (equivalent to a GCSE) with a possible progression to Level 3 (equivalent to A-levels) and many apprentices secure a permanent role with us! Who knows where in the future you will end up!

Some of our apprentices say "Working at Home Group enables me to do what I love, receive a wage and develop my skills" and "I would happily tell anyone thinking of becoming an apprentice that it provides a worthwhile qualification and experience that could lead to a very good career".

About the role

Youll be working with Michelle in the Programme Management Office (PMO), and she will support you throughout your time in the PMO. Your role will be to support successful strategic project and programme delivery by being involved with tasks such as creating agendas, organising and attending meetings, booking meeting rooms and venues, working with Microsoft Tools (eg excel, word, etc.), and dealing with queries either by email, in person or phone. This is a great opportunity to find out about Project Management!

Youll be working alongside our brilliant team who are passionate about delivering successful projects to support the business achieve our strategic objectives. We have regular whole team meetings (which inevitably turn into social events for those who wish to join in). No two days will be the same as we work on so many different projects. Although you will be supporting the whole PMO, you will be working in a small team managed by Michelle (a bit of a mother hen!) with Anita and Sinead (who both have a great sense of humour and love cake and sweets). Alongside doing your NVQ, youll be working closely with Michelle, Anita and Sinead who know absolutely loads about supporting Projects and Programmes, and being such brilliant colleagues, they will support you all the way.

You will also be working in an APM (Association of Project Management) award winning PMO! This will be a full time role, working 37.5 hours per week but we operate flexible working hours so dont worry if you cant work €œ9 to 5€, we can work out the best hours for you to work to benefit us all.

Who were looking for

You can apply for this apprenticeship if you are a current or former Home Group customer. Ideally you will have good written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills and basic Microsoft Office Skills, but before long youll be a real whizz! Youll be great at working with people as part of a team, but must be able to work independently and use your initiative. Youll be keen to learn from others how to prioritise and manage your workload, but an eye for detail is important.
