Empowering customers to live rewarding and happy lives. Thats when it hits home.

We have a fantastic opportunity for you to join our fab and supportive team. We support the recovery of our customers, who are generally over 18 years old, and help them to gain independence within the community and to build on their support networks and skills to live fulfilling lives. Our CQC registered service supports customers in their own living environments, to learn and develop life skills, manage their own risks and outcomes and aiming to move on to more independent living.

The team will tell you that no two days are ever the same because everything we do is €œperson centred€ for our customers. You might help with personal care (like bathing and issuing medication) in the morning and supporting them to attend college in the afternoon. We even help customers to go on holiday! Like our team, were sure youll find the role ever so rewarding. One of our customers said €œThis is the best place I have lived!€

About our team

Our team describe themselves as really friendly and approachable. In fact when new members have joined us, its been said that they felt welcomed from day one! You really want to join a team that is as fab and team spirited as ours!

Were super passionate about supporting customers and celebrating their achievements. To us were not just a team were a work family. Our manager is Geoff, whos been here for a while now working his way up to his management position. Geoff loves rocking out on a Saturday night, and enjoys playing guitar and singing, although he does admit to sounding like a drowned rat! There are loads of us in the team and we dont just love to support our customers, were there for each other too! One of your colleagues is Liz, whos been here for nearly a year. Her claim to fame is that she went to school with Mark Labbett from The Chase, although shes not fancied competing against him on the show! Liz will be one of your team showing you the ropes, as well as telling you all about her adorable spaniel Archie!

We have the benefit of our Clinical Lead on the team, Ian whos been with us a few years now, who joined us from the NHS. Were investing in our teams clinical knowledge and experience, so when you join there is lots of scope for personal growth and development.

When you work

We support our customers 24 hours a day, each and every day. Youll work on a rota basis and take your turn working days, evenings, weekends and bank holidays. We need you to be flexible to meet the needs of our customers, but we aim to give you the time you need to spend it doing the things that matter to you!

Bank

About you

Youre passionate and motivated. To you providing care and support is more than just a job, you make every customer feel valued and respected. Youre compassionate, and use your unique empathy and creativity skills to help our customers reach their full potential. Treating your customers with integrity, you ensure that they maintain their dignity at all times.

Youll help change our customers lives (and our services) for the better by undertaking risk assessments, support planning, goal setting and regular reviews. Youll create bespoke and personalised support plans with and for your customers.  Each plan will look to meet our customers individual potential and long term goals, making sure they meet safeguarding and confidentiality requirements. Youll also have responsibility for coordinating our support workers, apprentices and volunteers, and working collaboratively with external agencies, to assess and engage support for our customers. You can see what its like to work in a service like this in this great video.

To make sure that we keep our records straight, and customers safe, it's really important that you are technologically savvy (or at the very least not a technophobe!) Youll be issued with the latest kit, which could include a Surface Pro and mobile and Alertcom (lone working support device) to help you when youre out and about.

It would be amazing if you have worked in this type of environment before, however its your €œcan do€ positive attitude and enthusiasm that are critical to make this role a success. Ideally youll have a great understanding of professional boundaries, responsibility for safeguarding, risk assessment, confidentiality and experience in case management. Dont worry, we wont drop you in the deep end, well help you to understand how things work at Home Group!

When you join, youll need to have a valid Enhanced Check under the Disclosure and Barring Service. The great news is that we will pay for that to be done if you dont have a transferrable one.
