Permanent, Full Time (37.5 hpw)

We have a fabulous opportunity for you to work within our North Hampshire Mental Health Pathway in Basingstoke. The service is an accommodation based support service delivered across 5 locations, but dont worry they are all on the same street! Youll work alongside the Senior Client Service Manager, Lucy, and will directly manage a team of four Support Workers and our referral worker.   

 

As a great leader you have a genuine passion to lead our service in delivering aspirational person centred support. Youll support and empower customers through their recovery, working towards independence, move on, and actively promote informed decision making. The role is service based and you will manage the day to day running of the service including the colleague rota, liaise with our housing management team and support delivery. The role is varied and every day is different, but thats what makes it exciting, and we wouldnt want you getting bored! 

 

As a Manager and safeguarding lead, you will ensure the high performance and quality assurance of our services using your experience and strong skills in effectively motivating and directing colleagues. You will work directly with our lead provider and commissioner to monitor service performance against contractual targets and ensure that the service is visible and accessible to all stakeholders

 

About our teams

Our brilliant teams in Hampshire services are super passionate about supporting customers to reach their goals and celebrating their achievements. Your manager will be Kiron, who is our Operations Manager for the area, and has enjoyed working for Home Group since 2010. When not in work Kiron enjoys cooking, yoga and knitting. Watch out for her seasonal curries! 

 

There are 6 managers in Kirons team and we dont just support our customers, were there for each other too! Sue, Lucy, Jay, Chris, Carley and Annabel do a brilliant job and are always helping each other. You will work closely with Lucy, who is the Senior Client Service Manager for the service and will induct you through your brilliant beginning.  Lucy has been involved with the service since it started in 2016.

 

You will also join the wider South-West management team led by Carol, who has worked here for over 20 years. We have a huge range of services and a mixed variety of housing. Its brilliant - there are so many colleagues that you can talk to and share ideas and experiences with. We have got a regional away day to look forward to in February; some work but mainly fun and a fantastic way to get to know everyone!!

 

Working hours

Here at Home Group we work flexibly and the focus is on getting the job done and that means trusting each other. Support is delivered 9am - 9pm, over weekends, bank holidays, and hours delivered from part of the contract.  The nature of the service will mean that for the majority of your time you will be based on site in Basingstoke to support and supervise colleagues in delivery of the contracted hours and cover any gaps in the rota as/when required.

 

A bit about you

We want someone like you, who has significant experience as a Service Manager in managing contracts, associated KPIs, budgets and can drive the consistent delivery of high quality services to meet the needs of our customers and commissioners.  

 

To be awesome in this job, your key strengths will lie in people management and motivation, bringing colleagues together to share information and best practice. Youll maintain strong professional relationships with your peers and their teams as well as external stakeholders. Well be impressed with your passion for promoting independence and social inclusion, as well as your focus on quality, efficiency and your ability to develop service provision in new and innovative ways.  

 

We do need you to have an excellent working knowledge of the Housing and Care, and Support sectors, safeguarding processes and housing law. Youll be able to respond quickly and appropriately to emerging risks to individuals, teams or the contract and its also important that you have excellent communication skills, IT skills and strong analytical skills too. To make sure our customers are well supported, its important that you have worked in a supported housing environment before. Dont worry, we wont drop you in the deep end, well help you to understand how things work at Home Group!

 

When you join, youll need to have a valid Enhanced Check under the Disclosure and Barring Service. The great news is that we will pay for that to be done if you dont have a transferrable one.
