Housing Management Co-ordinator (HMC)

2 x Full Time (37.5 hours per week) or we still want to hear from you if part time hours suit you better. Permanent

Salary Circa £19,000 (pro rata).

We have fabulous opportunity for you to join our awesome team. We support our brilliant customers who have care and support needs who live in a variety of supported accommodation services. Both of our Basingstoke and Farnborough services support customers with mental health needs. Your colleagues who provide the support would love to see you at the services at least two or three days a week; the remaining time you could be working from home or in an office if you prefer.

Youll be our Housing Management and Property Guru! Focussing on tenancy support, youll provide a housing management service to our customers, supporting them to manage their tenancy and rent accounts.  Youll also help our customers with their housing benefit claims and making sure that these are received on their rent account. Youll turn around vacant bed spaces so that new customers who need our help can move in quickly. Youll also make sure our service achieves maximum occupancy, and that we are health and safety compliant!

Youll be working alongside our fabulous team who are super passionate about supporting customers to reach their goals and celebrating their achievements.  To us were not just a team were a work family. Our manager is Carley Parsons who has been with Home Group for a huge 9 years. When not at work you will find Carley walking her dog, kite surfing and travelling the world! There will be 5 of us in the team and we dont just love to support our customers, were there for each other too!

Working hours

Youll be working Monday to Friday, usually 9am to 5pm. We need you to be flexible to meet the needs of our customers, but we aim to give you the time you need to spend time doing the things that matter to you!

About you

Youre passionate and motivated to help vulnerable people make positive and lasting changes to their lives. Youll impress us with your ability to work on your own initiative, positively influencing people from all different backgrounds. You will have some experience in safeguarding, risk assessments, confidentiality, and experience of working collaboratively with support colleagues.

As a HMC youre experienced in managing landlord and housing management duties. You know all about re-letting of rooms or units, collecting rents, and taking formal tenancy action when needed. Youre great at managing your own time and have strong written and verbal communication skills.  

To make sure that we keep our records straight, and customers safe, it's really important that you are technologically savvy (or at the very least not a technophobe!).

To make sure our customers are well supported, its important that you have worked in a similar environment before. Dont worry, we wont drop you in the deep end, well help to you understand how things work at Home Group!

Both our Basingstoke and Farnborough services are well connected using public transport so you could do this role without a car, but if you drive and have access to a car that would also be amazing! (we pay your expenses to cover this use!).

When you join, youll need to have a valid Enhanced Check under the Disclosure and Barring Service. The great news is that we will pay for that to be done if you dont have a transferrable one.
