Scope of the internship:

As the Lead Generation Specialist Intern you will be responsible for various projects within our commercial marketing department, as well as supporting our wider EMEA Sales teams in region and collaborating with Inside Sales at our Granta Park site

You will be responsible for the qualification and development of marketing- and sales-generated leads, focusing on prospecting, response rate to marketing programs output, lead qualification and creation of high quality leads. This includes engaging with existing customers and qualified sales leads, guiding customers to the Illumina products that best meet their needs, and coordinating with internal resources to address customer questions/objections.  You will works closely with both inside and field sales representatives to meet and exceed sales quotas for a specific product line and/or sales territory.

 

Tasks and Responsibilities:

Ensures a high level of liaison with other departments & staff to ensure co-ordination of activities.

Makes outbound contact to existing and prospective customers to identify sales opportunities, promote relevant marketing/sales promotional programs and initiate the sales process.

Responsible for entering and maintaining lead data into our customer relationship management database.

Preferred Educational Background:

Undergrad/BA Level

Outstanding listening, verbal and written communication skills.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of customer personality types.

Efficient time management skills with the ability to stay focused on primary business objectives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

This role is located in Granta Park, near Cambridge, UK.

The selection Process:

Once your application has been submitted, our dedicated recruitment team will perform an initial review, and then contact shortlisted individuals via telephone, before inviting you to complete a digital, video interview. The culmination of our selection process is for the finalists to attend an assessment day at our offices in south Cambridge.

Reasonable travel and accommodation expenses will be reimbursed to applicants invited to an assessment day.
