Client Services Manager

Batley, West Yorkshire

Permanent, Full Time, 37.5 hpw

Salary of £20,000 to £21,800 pa

On call shift payment of £14.30 per session

We have a fabulous opportunity for you to join our awesome team. You have a genuine passion to lead our services in delivering aspirational person centred housing related support. Youll have overall responsibility for managing our services, which provide Supported Living for customers with learning disability, autism and physical health needs.  

 

They live in a variety of settings. We have a 24/7 Supported Living service in Batley that has 8 self-contained flats for our customers with a 9th flat for the staff office, a communal kitchen and a lounge. Our service in Liversedge is a Supported Living house offering 3 bedrooms for our customers with a shared kitchen, a lounge and bathrooms.  The staff provide sleep-ins every night and 1:1 support as required. Our final service offers support to customers living in their own homes in the community.

 

We help our customers to become as independent as possible through 1:1 support packages agreed by Social Care. We provide personal care and medication administration where required, and support customers with all kinds of things from accessing community activities to attending health appointments to cooking meals and managing relationships.

Karla is the Registered Manager. She has been working at the service for just over 4 years. You will also join the wider Yorkshire management team and will work for our Operations Manager, Katina Lytra.  Katina has worked for Home group for 13 years and has been involved in these services since they began almost 5 years ago.

A bit about you

Leading a team of frontline support staff, youll help us deliver efficient, high quality, cost effective and customer centred services. Youll help empower our customers to live independently and make it a great place to work for our colleagues. As our team and safeguarding lead, youll ensure the high performance and quality assurance of our services using your experience and strong skills in effectively motivating and directing colleagues.  Youll also monitor service performance against contractual targets and ensure that the service is visible and accessible to referring agencies and self-referring customers too.

 

To be awesome in this job, your key strengths will lie in people management and motivation, bringing colleagues together to share information and best practice. Youll maintain strong professional relationships with your peers and their teams as well as external stakeholders.  Well be impressed with your passion for promoting independence and social inclusion through person centred support, as well as your focus on quality, efficiency and your ability to develop service provision in new and innovative ways.

 

We do need you to have an excellent working knowledge of the €œHousing and Care€, and Support Sectors, safeguarding processes and housing law.  Youll be able to respond quickly and appropriately to emerging risks to individuals, teams or the contract and its also important that you have excellent communication skills, IT skills and strong analytical skills too.

To make sure our customers are well supported, its important that you have worked in a Supported Living, Supported Housing or Care Home environment before. Dont worry, we wont drop you in the deep end, well help you to understand how things work at Home Group!

 

It would be amazing if you have worked in this type of environment before, however its your €œcan do€ positive attitude and enthusiasm that are critical to make this role a success. We can nurture your talent, just let us know in your cover letter why you have a passion for working here!

As this is a leadership based role, youll need to travel around to spend time with your customers. You could do this role using public transport, or if you drive and have access to a car that would also be amazing! (We pay your expenses to cover this use!)

When you join, youll need to have a valid Enhanced Check under the Disclosure and Barring Service. The great news is that we will pay for that to be done if you dont have a transferrable one.
