APPOINTMENT OF 6 MEMBERS TO THE BOARD OF 

CAREERS CHOICES DEWIS GYRFA (CCDG) / CAREERS WALES 

Career Choices Dewis Gyrfa (CCDG) operating under the name of Careers Wales is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Welsh Government delivering the national, all age, professional and impartial, bilingual careers advice and guidance.

The Welsh Government is looking for 6 highly committed, enthusiastic and motivated individuals who can contribute to the continued strengthening and development of CCDG. Successful candidates will be expected to have a genuine interest in careers management skills and be able to demonstrate this alongside innovative ideas and an ability to think strategically.

Board Members will need to assist the Chair in providing strong, effective and visible leadership to CCDG playing a key role in ensuring the organisation delivers against its annual remit set by Welsh Ministers. Board Members will be accountable for the performance of the CCDG, developing key relationships with partners and must have a clear understanding and commitment to the Committee on Standards in Public Life’s ‘Seven Principles of Public Life’. 

Board Members of the CCDG are not employees and currently serve in a voluntary, unpaid capacity. Members will be appointed for a period of 3 years with a minimum time commitment of 8 days per year. All 6 appointments are to start February 2020.
