Support Worker Level 1
Part Time 18.75 hrs per week
Salary is £17,600 per annum (pro rata)

Building foundations for new futures
 
Do you have a caring nature, great listening skills and a genuine passion for helping others?  Then join us as a Support Worker and work with our amazing team which helps our clients build strong foundations for their futures which are independent and aspirational.  Not only will you be supporting the team in making positive lasting changes to vulnerable peoples lives, youll also be building the foundations for your own future too as there are lots of learning opportunities and progression routes available to support you to be your very best.
 
As an Assistant Support Worker (known internally by us as a Support Worker Level 1) you will work closely with experienced colleagues and be involved in basic/routine support planning, assessments, goal setting and reviews for clients living within the service.  We support our brilliant customers who are aged 16-35 and require support to develop their independent living skills to successfully move on into the local community. They live in a supported accommodation service in 12 self contained flats in Shotton Colliery and two, two bedroom shared properties in Peterlee.


Working with our inspirational team and in partnership with external agencies, youll help us ensure our clients individual support plans are achieved so that they can successfully move on with a positive future. 


About you

Previous experience is not required as we provide a thorough induction and training programme, but it is important to us that you have a good understanding of the role and of the issues that affect vulnerable people and our client group. We want someone like you who has a positive can do attitude, who is enthusiastic and motivated to learn.   To flourish in the role, youll have great time management, communication and IT skills and be able to work well with others.


Youll be great at building effective working relationships and partnerships which you will need to effectively support our clients and youll have strong organisational skills too.  Join us and build the foundations for your own future and see for yourself how much further in your career you will go.


You will work on a Rota basis between the hours of 7.30am and 10.00pm working days, evenings, weekends and bank holidays.


We need you to have a driving licence, car and car insurance business cover as some travelling will be required.
If you are successful, we need you to have an Enhanced Disclosure Check through the Disclosure and Barring Service which well pay for.
