Salary £28,500 to £42,000 per annum depending on experience
 
About the role                               
We have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Surveyor to join our friendly and supportive Maintenance team where you will be responsible for visiting different property types with varying client groups covering the Tyneside and Northumberland area.   
 
You will be working as an integral member of the maintenance team and will provide technical advice to improve quality standards of responsive repairs.  Youll be delivering a responsive, high quality and caring maintenance service to our customers using customer insight to maximise the customer experience.  Youll be responsible for surveying and managing the repair/void/compliance works in partnership with contractors as directed.
 
Youll inspect Home Groups properties to identify and recommend repairs to ensure high standards of quality and customer satisfaction are maintained. Youll assist in the management of local contractors to ensure the supplier delivers to agreed customer satisfaction and agreed KPIs.  Youll work in a wide variety of properties providing technical advice, undertaking inspections of vacant and occupied homes, diagnosing defects and post inspection of works on completion. You will also be responsible for ensuring that the maintenance service is compliant with relevant safety and building legislation.
 
Please note this role requires a Standard DBS check of which the costs will be met by Home Group.
 
About you
You will have the ability to manage, control budgets and expenditure with effective time management skills and be able to prioritise workload to meet deadlines.  You will have the ability to work unsupervised covering a large geographical area.
 
Previous experience of contract management and working with external partners would be an advantageous to the role. You will possess a relevant technical qualification (or working towards) (e.g. RICS or CIOB accredited degree level qualification) to succeed in this role.
 
Due to the nature of the role you will be required to drive and have access to your own vehicle which you will be able to claim your business miles back on.
