Maintenance Surveyor Electrical PeterboroughPermanentFull Time (37.5hpw)Salary £28,500 to £42,000 per annum - Pro Rata About the role We have an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Maintenance Surveyor to join our friendly and supportive Customer Services team where you will be responsible for visiting different property types with varying customer groups housing, covering the large Central Region from Yorkshire to Milton Keynes. You will be working as an integral member of the maintenance team for Ian, who has been with Home Group for twelve years so he knows a thing or two about the role! You will provide technical advice to improve quality standards of electrical servicing, repairs and installs. Youll be delivering a responsive, high quality and caring maintenance service to our customers using their insight to maximise the customer experience. Youll be responsible for surveying and managing the repairs, planned and compliance works in partnership with contractors as directed. Key responsibilities include the inspection of Home Groups properties to identify and recommend repairs to ensure high standards of quality and customer satisfaction are maintained. You will assist in the management of local contractors to ensure the supplier delivers to agreed customer satisfaction and agreed KPIs. Youll work in a wide variety of properties providing technical advice, undertaking inspections of vacant and occupied homes, diagnosing defects and post inspection of works on completion. You will also be responsible for ensuring that the maintenance service is compliant with relevant safety and building legislation. Working hours Here at Home Group we work flexibly and the focus is on getting the job done and that means trusting each other. You will work with the wider team on a rota basis to be part of a 24/7 on-call service covering the Central Region. About you You will have the ability to manage, control budgets and expenditure with effective time management skills and be able to prioritise workload to meet deadlines. You will have the ability to work unsupervised covering a large geographical area. Previous experience of contract management and working with external partners would be an advantageous to the role. You will possess a relevant technical qualification (or working towards) (e.g. RICS or CIOB accredited degree level qualification) to succeed in this role. Due to the nature of the role you will be required to drive and have access to your own vehicle which you will be able to claim your business miles back on.
