History Teacher role - April and Full-time Start - Birmingham - Secondary School

Your new company

This well-established Secondary School based in North Birmingham are looking for a History Teacher to join the Department. Receiving a "GOOD" in their last Ofsted report, this School offers a curriculum that is tailored to the community and designed to enable all students to maximise their academic potential so that they can flourish at school and throughout their lives as proactive British Citizens. This School also ensures staff to be excellent role models for students in their appearance and behaviours, in what they say and how they live the Academy values. The values shape a set of core behaviours for school staff and leaders.

Your new role

As a History teacher who will have experience within secondary schools, you will be welcomed into the school on a long-term, full-time basis starting immediately. You will be required to fulfil an active teaching role, which will include:

• Planning, marking and assessment
• Attending staff meetings
• Attending parents' evenings and liaising with parents

You will have the duty of teaching across KS3-KS4, including planning, preparation, and assessments. You will be working alongside supportive staff to plan exciting and motivating lessons so that children's learning is engaging, interactive and challenging.

What you'll need to succeed

Hays welcomes all applications, whether you are a more experienced teacher or an ECT, you must have completed your studies and hold full QTS. You should have a professional manner and a flexible attitude to working and timetable changes. You will have good National Curriculum knowledge and have experience in Key Stage 3-4 in a Secondary school.

You need to be a good team player, have good time management and behaviour management skills.

In addition to this, we will require two satisfactory references, and you must be available until at least the end of this academic year.
