Housing Management Co-ordinator
Part Time (25 hours per week)
Permanent
Salary £17,600 to £19,100 pa pro rata rising to £23,500 pa pro rata through length of service
£9.00 per hour if youd prefer to work on our bank on a casual basis

We have fabulous opportunity for you to join our awesome team which supports older people aged 60 years and over.  Our customers live in a beautiful picturesque village called Wisborough Green which is nestled in a quite corner of West Sussex. The village consists of just one local shop and a couple of country pubs. the service is nestled behind the local cricket pitch and offers scenic walks through the village (how lovely!). 


Youll be our Housing and Property Guru focussing on tenancy support and provide a housing management service to our customers, supporting them to manage their tenancy and rent accounts.  Youll also help our customers with their housing benefit claims and making sure that these are received on their rent account.  Youll turn around vacant bed spaces so that new customers who need our help can move in quickly.  Youll also make sure our service achieves maximum occupancy, and that we are health and safety compliant!

Youll be working alongside our fabulous team who are super passionate about supporting customers to reach their goals and celebrating their achievements.  To us were not just a team were a work family. Our manager is Ali, who has worked for Homegroup for over 11 years in different roles. The team is a perfect mixture of long serving colleagues and fresh faces.  There are 7 of us in the team and we dont just love to support our customers, were there for each other too! 


We are a very friendly team who support each other constantly. we like to take our work seriously and enjoy achieving top marks in our reviews and audits, but we also like to make sure we balance that with lots of laughs and fun along the way.


Working hours
Core working hours are Monday - Friday between 9.00am and 5.00pm.  You'll also need to be a bit flexible to meet the needs of our customers and service, but we very rarely need to work outside of these hours.

Looking for a more flexible working pattern? You can also join us on a flexible basis by being part of our bank.  You can work hours that fit around your current commitments or even pick up some additional shifts to your main role to earn some extra cash and get paid weekly!


About you
Youre passionate and motivated to help vulnerable people make positive and lasting changes to their lives. Youll impress us with your ability to work on your own initiative, positively influencing people from all different backgrounds.  You will have some experience in safeguarding, risk assessments, confidentiality, support plans, alongside working collaboratively. 


Tou'll have experience in managing a housing management caseload and overseeing landlord and housing management duties. You know all about re-letting of rooms or units, collecting rents, and taking formal tenancy action when needed. Youre great at managing your own time and have strong written and verbal communication skills. 


If youre not the biggest fan of technology, thats not a problem to us. But you do need to know that we are quite a high tech company and most of our application process and mandatory learning are online. However were glad to support you, if you need help.  


It would be amazing if you have worked in this type of environment before, however its your €œcan do€ positive attitude and enthusiasm that are critical to make this role a success. We can nurture your talent, just let us know in your cover letter why you have a passion for working here!
 
As this is a service based role, you wont need to travel around to spend time with your customers. However you will need to travel to team meetings once and month and any training opportunities that require you to do so. A lot of our core training will be delivered by eLearning. You could do this role using public transport, or if you drive and have access to a car that would also be amazing! (we pay your expenses to cover this use!)

If you are successful, we need you to have an Enhanced Disclosure Check through the Disclosure and Barring Service which well pay for.
